I have never experienced such kind, helpful, and empathetic staff! Dani is an absolute angel. Dr. Steve and the rest of the staff truly care and do what they can to help. This sweet girl is getting old and has many issues that have popped up but I know my baby is in good hands and will be taken care of when she comes in. God bless the team at Westside. I’d recommend this vet to anyone!

update from Februrary 2026 --- removing the scab from an old wound, Westside still has me on their mailing list so I received great news today that they have partnered with an online vendor to sell merchandise, (yay). all it does for me is reinforce the idea that they had several ways to contact me regarding my furry friend and how he was doing. I am thankful that because of these people's actions, I was able to find a vet 2 minutes from my house with similar rates. and unlike westside, this vet follows up the next day. original review left in 2024 updated to 2026-- It's been FOUR and A HALF YEARS since my senior cat passed away. FOUR and A HALF YEARS and two weeks since the last time I heard from anyone at the clinic. At that time, they told me that his thyroid levels were high and instructed me to increase his medication for the time being. There was never a follow up. Dr. King ran an amazing practice at Westside for decades at the corner of the strip mall. His prices were affordable (never an office visit fee added to the procedure or treatment performed). My cats trusted him. They trusted the smells of the building. It was why I would drive 40 minutes to take my cats to him. I previously gave the clinic 5 Stars. Dr. King retired. Dr Steve bought the practice, closed on Saturdays, raised the prices, and moved further down the street. I had two senior cats. One died suddenly in December of the previous year (2021) from an inner ear infection that spread rapidly over 24 hours. He died sitting next to me in his carrier while we waited in the ER parking lot to be seen (Covid restrictions) The other kitty started having digestive issues and stopped eating. I drove him to the clinic several times over the next 90 days. I even had to drive him back an additional time because the clinic (or lab) lost his blood test specimens. LOST HIS BLOOD WORK! I was told on that Thursday that the clinic would contact me with the lab results, and I never heard from anyone. I called Monday to ask because no one appeared to have cared. That's when I learned the specimens had been lost. I was charged upwards of almost $1000 between tests, x-rays, and procedures with no regard for my stress or my pet's well being. Dr. Steve is a well meaning vet and was short-staffed coming out of the pandemic. That being said, I was willing to cut him some slack. He assured me that that appetite stimulant he'd recommended I order on Chewy would get to me very quickly. It didn't. It was at least 5 days. I cannot express how difficult it is to watch your companion behave normally, but waste away by not eating. I forced him to eat every day. He slept by my side for 3 months until he was too frail to stay alive. I drove him to an emergency clinic to have him euthanized, but he died in the clinic before they could do it. I've changed clinics now. The new one is much closer and they follow up a day later. I very much miss my senior cats, who by the way, were given a full geriatric work-up and deemed healthy for their age, 30 days before the first one passed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Westside to anyone anymore.
